A little update. Done some more to the sketch, think i’m pretty happy with this now. Gonna start on the matte painting now finally.

Entry for Matte Painting 2

The people over at ballistic publishing are doing another matte painting book, and they’ve invited me to enter some work for it. Which is very nice, but the deadline is one month and i don’t have much yet. However its good motivation to get off my ass!

So here so far is a sketch of the main idea so far, its far from complete yet. But once i’ve got the concept locked down i’ll start blocking it in with photo reference. Could do with a few weeks off work, but thats about as likely as a bernard manning reunion tour (Sorry bern!)
